Hey Squiddies… Sorry for the late toon wednesday… I had an unusual day of sickeypoo… And to my dismay, found that the toon posted not. I suppose it left you in suspense… In any case… My apologies. (I am much improved… And will make it to yhe office tomorrow).
Hi ho, Squiddies. Over the weekend, I had the pleasure of being interviewed by Kurt Sasso over at TGT Media. TGT Media covers comics, gaming, and all around entertainment. The video gets pretty garbled in places. I realize now that it was my internet at the office here… sigh. So if you wanna see me ramble on about comics and fine art… keep that in mind. Also, check out the impressive list of audio and video interviews with so many superb cartoonists out there! Aidan of Scapula made that list, as did Scott of Ralf the Destroyer, David Reddick… Oh, I could go on!
And thanks to Kurt Sasso… It was fun talkin’ with ya… next time I will make sure the Skype is better on my end! Gah!
Well, I am finally back in the office after days of absenteeism. I must apologize for Sunday’s cartoon mishap. I have fixed the situation now… but for some reason, the Sunday comic is showing twice. I hate to admit it… but I give up. Two cartoons insist on publishing and I refuse to let my sanity go in trying to make it otherwise.
So Happy Halloween, Squiddies, one and all. I hope you take it easy on the candy corn and milk dudders… I have a bucket full of Junior Minties and milky ways bars at the ready. I have avoided the sugar highs so far, but usually give in on Halloween.
Have a creepy and safe Halloween… and here’s a treat for those who want one… visit Doombuggies.com (one of my favorite haunts) and see what’s there. Boo!
Okay… I am experiencing difficulties of technical-ness. I made a mistake by deleting Sunday’s toon… while trying to get rid of the superfluous toon. So I messed up. I lost the comments… and the Bad news is… I won’t be able to fix it until I get back to the office on Wednesday. So Sunday’s toon is on hiatus. Sorry Folks. My Bad… that’s what I get for trying to fix things on the road.
The Funsters (INC… Independent Networking Cartoonists) and I shared a booth at the Salinas Valley Food & Wine Fest this past Saturday… It was an interesting location they STUCK us in… RIGHT next to the Main music stage… a place where it was difficult to conduct business because you couldn’t hear anybody over the music. I was rather hoarse from all the yelling I was doing. Besides this, we were WAY off of Main Street where all the other booths were (and placed next to a cigar booth… yes, they were smoking cigars next to us). Our booth location was kinda poopy… The only reason you’d even come down the corridor we were located in would be to go to the beer garden…. and well… it just was a lousy location. Although we (Chris Dreyer & Alex “Shoe” Schumacher and I) made some sales… it was not the experience I was hoping for. Message to Food & Wine people… do not put anybody next to the main stage…. and be careful what you do to cartoonists… you may just wind up in a comic strip!
