Coco… Friend of Cartoonists
Conan O’Brien… friend to artists, cartoonists and performing persons!
Conan at Comic Con in San Diego
I am so glad that Conan is thriving… especially since he took the high road after Leno kicked him off the side of a building.
Yeh, it’s sad that NBC axed Conan…but he did get a pretty healthy severence check of $32 million and his crew got a $12 million check of their own. Wow. Can I get fired from NBC too?
To his credit, he did go on a comedy road tour after his, likey mandatory, 9 or 10 month absence from the airwaves, is doing his T.V. show once again. I don’t know if it’s just me, but I never really got his humor. I tried when he was NBC but can’t say that I’ve bothered catching him on TBS. Well, his cartoon super hero is cool, and I’m glad he let all those many (MANY) artists copy and sell it for their own personal profit without asking for his share. Seems like he liked most of their work too, except for that drawing of a beaten-up Flaming C…ha.
I love Coco!! I totally got his sense of humor, cause it is akin to my own..lol. Self depreciation in good spirit. 🙂
I hated nbc so much for how they treated him, that I stopped watching the entire network…and never went back and it use to be my most watched station next to Discovery of course.
I’m super glad Coco is kicking it at the Con and living the good life 🙂
Heather… I am SOOO with ya. Good-spirited self-depreciation is to be admired. I love, too, that Conan is buds with Colbert (whom I do love) and John Stewart. Did you see when they all did that “beating each other up thing?” I rolled on the floor when that first aired! See the video here!
I think Leno tightened his own noose by the way he and NBC handled the whole thing. No cool points for either of THEM! And as Stick indicated, Conan laughed all the way to the bank.
omg, thanks for posting that!!! I hadn’t seen it before, but that was soooo funny!lmao
I still laugh uncontrollably when I watch that video, Heather… yer welcome!
I love all three of them, they are so bad ass! 🙂
This video ROCKED THE CASBAH! Once upon a time, I had a respect for Leno, ‘cuz I thought he was such a nice-guy-real-person. Then he did that number on Conan (someone I didn’t really care that much for before) and the needle on my “Truth, Justice, and The American Way-o-Meter” went absolutely apegog. Good to see things working out so well–sure wish I could’ve attended ComicCon. And BTW, NBC–I have lived perfectly well without you since 2006.
EofO… Yah… I hears ya. Go Coco!
