What zaniness happens when cartoonists switch places? Find out this saturday (January 2) when Crow from Nicky510 and I swap toons… toon in here and there! … And Happy New Year!
I got an early Christmas gift this year… Squid Row has been picked up by our local newspaper…. The Monterey County Herald. It’s Squid’s first newspaper and we here at Team Squid are ecstatic! Ecstatic might be too lightweight… We’re over the moon!
It was always a goal to be in the papers. I feel blessed to have that opportunity. It’s my hope that Squid Row can reach lots of peoples… and in some way, touch the reader… be it a laugh, or a smile, or a “hey, I’ve been there.”
How about the gift of laughter and amusement? There is still time for you to wander thru the Squid Shoppe and drop a few books in your shoppin’ cart before Christmas! Maybe a t-shirt? Free sticker with any purchase… ho, ho, ho!
As some of you might have noticed, the past couple a days, the comic size has been a bit super-sized. No, I didn’t MEAN for them to be all that big… I’ve been “experimenting” with some different size sizes. My intent was to make the images smaller and easier to load. It sorta back-fired on me… (picture a scene from the Nutty Professor or something). Crow, from Nicky510 suggested some things… and I screwed them up. (Crow, your advisements was good’uns!)
But all is well now! The problem is fixed (thank you for your comments and your patience) and from now on Squid Row will be easier to read on your ‘puters (hopefully)! (dern techno- lergical, fan-dangled whatcha-muh callits mussin’ wit my *&&%%…) Where’s Mouse?
Is there such thing as an “octophile”? Well, there must be… I have noticed that since I’ve been paying more attention to the tentacled creatures, I’ve gotten to enjoy their squishy selves. Squids, too, mind you. They’re a bit less, social though.
Speakin’ of octopi… Gus jumped strip! He inked his way over to Nicky510 today… have a look… there’s a purty good chuckle waitin’ for ya.
No worries, Gus’ll be back. I have a feeling he kinda likes that Randie!
