Down But Not Out…
We are getting closer to it…
…the release of the new Squid Row book, Down But Not Out on Squid Row… it is at the printer now. I will be officially unveiling it in May, but you can get your hands on it a bit sooner. AND, and, and… I will be taking pre-orders soon… AND, and, and… with a special offer… A groovy poster!
Yes, if you pre-order the book, you’ll get a nifty poster.

Here is my contribution for Mini Comic’s Day… which was last Saturday. If you click on it, you will get the full size file. Oh, and there might be a wee bit of chopping of the art in the print process… I pretty much worked to the edge of the paper. Ooops. It’s not TOO bad. Enjoy!

River & Reese and their Super Dad had fun drawing super heroes. Kinan
did a story about the meaning of life (no fluffy cutesy subject matter there!)… Walter worked at several ideas without exactly landing on one or another. *photos seem to be messed up on some computers… wordpress hates me… I have fixed them on my ‘puter and they are still messed up! Apologies!

I would like to remind you tooners out there, that Saturday is Mini Comics Day!
It is time to grab your bottle of ink and your scissors… and meet up to draw comics!
Here’s what you do. Go to minicomics.org and sign up. Here’s a link to their events page … You’ll notice that it has our local Current Comics which has signed up (where I will be leading said event). Signing up just means you post some of the work made for the event on the minicomics.org website.
Even if you don’t wish to sign up and share, you can get a group of your pals together to make mini-comics… meet up at a coffee shop or someone’s living room. It’s an excuse to buy pizza and throw back a few adult beverages (if you didn’t already overdo it on National Absinthe Day on March 5th). And if you would like to send me some photos of YOUR mini comics, or just photos of your group working on mini comics, I will post them!
