Jinglings
The Holiday Season is swinging at the Cartoonery this First Friday in December… Squid Row goodies abound whether it’s an original artwork or the latest Squid Row book (Welcome to the Neighborhood) or buttons, magnets or a t-shirt.
Come for the holiday treats… Judy’s Christmas Fruitcake will knock yer stockings off... (there’s a little extra spirit baked in there!)… if that don’t warm you up, there’ll be some spiced hot chocolate (that should do the trick).
Hark! Harold will be collecting for the Salvation Army so bring a little extra change and help take care of those less fortunate (that Harold has an awfully big heart for a stufftie). After all, Christmas is about giving.
Hope to see you Friday, December 2nd from 5-8pm in Oldtown Salinas. (The Cartoonery is located at 5 E. Gabilan Street, Suite 205… above First Awakenings).
Will Harold be holding a bell and sporting a fake santa beard?
Wha? Christmas is about giv’in? Here, I thought it was about shop’in. I guess its all chicken and egg semantics, anyway. You can’t have one without the other.
Looks like I’ll have some leftover Thanksgiving eggnogs to offer. Not to worry, still unopened.
Patrick and I can bring one of my moms Christmas breads if thats O.K.
Will Harold be drinking any wine?
stick… yes, lovely… eggnoggin’ we will be.
squidman… Christmas breads would be delightful…. please do… and Harold might just be dunkin’ his little softie head into the eggnog. I think he’ll have his holiday flask with him.
Wow, Brig! You’ve got your own Harold Angel!
Hark! The Harold Angel sings,
“Time to tug at your heart strings!”
Give with joy to those in need;
From their hunger they’ll be freed!
Have your kindness shine out bright,
Show the world things can be right!
With your gift you can restore,
Hope to those in need for more.
Hark! The Harold Angel sings,
“Come Squid Row, and show your wings!”
Ah, there’s nothing like Garfield to show a cat’s point-of-view to the spirit of Christmas giving.

jude… hugs Jude.
Dada… I really wish that you could come. You are an excellent party-er and you make good faces (and yer a nifty pal). Let’s see… if you start walking now and do 40 miles a day… hey, you got a bicycle?
