I’m a horrible insulter. I can never think of just the right comeback line when it is needed. Quite frankly, I try to stay out of situations where insults are necessary. Then again, I never had to work with anyone as lovely as Grace.

Whoa, Randie!
This was a very good zing. Well-balanced, ironic and relevant, and not outside Randie’s established character. It also has plenty of bite without any of the tarnish sticking on Randie. Any harsher and Grace gets points for bringing Randie down to her level. But this comment is delivered from the High Road, without loss of character to Randie, and so are twice as effective when dropped from a greater height.

I hate to have to say it, but guys have an option not usually open to women – physical confrontation. Was once forced to work in a shop with a very unpleasant fellow who passed the time honing personal insults on me. I finally had enough and told him to take it to the parking lot with me or shut up. He was bigger than me, but he backed down. Later, even though his work was better than mine, he was fired for being disruptive. Can’t imagine what keeps Grace employed there.
Cemalidor: I just visited Ralf (I have not heard of this comic and googled) and all I can say is… great minds must think alike! Immediately, I liked the art… and judging by the last several cartoons, he and Randie have some similarities… well, not in appearance.
I went pee-ed off and did that to one of my collogues. And called her a Oompa-Loompa too. Thanks for an inspiration.
