Dave… Booze is funny… it’s funny how so many writers used booze to help them write… it just makes me fall asleep… and the stimulant-y coffee helps me write… to each their own, though.
Mary… rubbish can help get you to the good stuff… agreed.
Chug… my condolences to you… and Ryan, then.
Dada… ’tis true. Randie is hardcore for sure. Who’s buying the NEXT Depth Charge?
I have heard two different cures for writers block, I can only attest to one of them actually working though since I never tried the other one.
1. (The one that I know works) Try some absinthe, there is something about the combination of herbs in it that frees the mind while leaving it clear of the usual boozy muddledness.
2. Try writing some smut. (I can not attest to the effectiveness of this technique though as I have never actually tried it.) I have heard that for some reason trying to write erotica actually helps to loosen mental block as well.
Pash – I think smut works because part of writer’s block is a fear of being judged. If you’re going to write smut, you have to deliberately NOT CARE about being judged!
Yat… I have tried Choco-espresso beans… THEY WORK!!!
Pash… I like your proposed methods… I am an absinthe fan, for certain! I do find, however, that I am an excellent Ab drinker… meaning… I drink until I get TOO loose… and become goofy and unable to draw/write.
As far as smut goes… Ryan is a bit of a prude… I’m not sure he’d do that… maybe after enough absinthe though….
M.Lonie… Ryan ought to “steal time”… writing in-between things… thing is, his job is a demanding one… and it gets his full attention (because he’s like that)…
The answer is: booze.
The answer is to write some rubbish.
GAH! Yes! Ideas running around madly in my head ALL WEEK and on Saturday, NOTHING.
Pff! Lightweight. Five double espressos to Randie is practically a nightcap!

Ryan should try chocolate covered espresso beans.

Don’t wait for the weekend, write a bit everyday. I mean, does Randi wait to start painting until she actually has an idea of what to paint?

Ah… that would explain things nicely then. Thanks for the insight Chug.

Chug… good point… now go convince Ryan.
