No time to look around! Have to know what happens next!
I always make sure that I can see what’s in front of me while I’m reading a book, after all if I bang into someone or something I’ll lose my place,going face first into the wall/telephone pole/vehicle etc. makes it hard to concentrate on your story after all, unless you just got to the part in the book where the character runs into the same thing that you ran into just then, but it would probably seem like such an odd coincidence that you would probably lose your place anyway
