Rush Hour
This is usually about 6 am when Mouse (our kitty) decides that it’s time for everybody to be up and she is deserving of food. She becomes “motivated” … and zooms about in a “get up already” sort of way.

It’s fortunate Twink has a pen instead of a paint brush.
Jack… true. My cat has made off with a few things… I had an apparent cat toy attached to my backpack. It was an articulated toy (a Kumakikai) and was too tantalizing to a kitty. Its whereabouts are unknown. One day I will find it under a piece of furniture or something and that will be nice.
Nice to see Ryan a bit more motivated and speaking up for himself. Unlike the shopping scene from yesterday. ha. Whether he gets that pen back or ends up replacing it, he will at least value them more after having lost one. Good for Twinkie, even though some sort of punishment will likely, and rightly, follow. Maybe if Rye would be a bit more giving to the cat he’d get a bit more respect.
Seeing all that fur fly makes me wonder about the fuzziness of the in-process floor art.
Oh, cats…ours will usually behave in the mornings until the weekend…then she’ll decide around 8:30 that I need to be annoyed out of bed (my wife’s smart enough to sleep through it). I had to sit her down and calmly explain the concept of daylight saving time so she wouldn’t think we were sleeping in.
On an unrelated note, I’m sure you (or Randie) would appreciate this workstation/chair combo forged out of a Vespa: http://gizmodo.com/5878457/i-want-to-work-on-this-vespa-workstation
stick… Twinkie, being somewhat of a Houdini, I’m sure managed to escape through a portal of some kind.
Joe… My kitten (Mouse) is no doubt related to your brood.
as far as the Vespa workstation… MINE!!!!! (tanks fer da link!)
I wonder what it is about pens that cats find fascinating?
Our cats get the “wake-up-heebie-jeebies” at about 4 in the morning and then about 9, when we actually get up (what can I say, we’re retired and it’s still cold and dark outside). Unfortunately they sleep with my brother-in-law and it keeps him up until they settle down. The “noisy little monster” chases the “creaky old man” around the room and sometimes they get in scuffles. Fortunately, they are cats and spend a lot of the time sleeping!
Lee… They especially like pens when they are moving… when you’re trying to write… then they bat them around when you’re not looking… because they roll.
Ruth… I like that …. wake up Heebie Jeebies.
My cat Shadeux decides when everyone should be up by racing up the stairs..across our bed (especially over me)..and back down the stairs continously! He has also been know to sit on my husbands chest and “pat” his face with his paw until he gets up.
Ha… Audra… Mouse will do that, too, sometimes. She’ll stare (apparently) at your face until you stir or twitch, then she’ll pat… as if to say “Wake-y, wake-y.” This, of course, reminds me of “Simon’s Cat” … where there is a baseball bat involved.
