Ryan has the best of both worlds now: Good friends at home, and a chance to go to London (Pub) with them any time.
Well… any time after he’s gainfully re-employed. I’m looking forward to that part of the story now. Will get rehired and get back into his routine (rut?) Or will it take a while to find a job, thereby giving him a firsthand sense of Randie’s life? Or is something truly unusual (and local) waiting for him?
I’m sure that regardless of what happens, you’ll hear about it first on SQUID ROW!
Pete… funny you should mention Ryan’s employment. I have been working on just that. You can look forward to seeing that in a couple weeks (August 8th to be exact).
Jack… I love your city. I love the Portland Airport and all the mass transit. I love the quirk and the cartoonist sensibilities…. and I love your city’s donuts. I’d probably gain 10 pounds if I ever moved there to your neck of the woods. (The rain prevents me… and the fact that I am perty fond of where I live).

(Here endeth the plug.)
Landing back in Portland, no matter how good a trip was, is one of my favorite things ever. Coming home can be so great.

Good friends and cold beer…yeah, this is what I’d call home!
Dada… yah! Cheers… (I raise my glass of merlot, honey jaegger stuff, or vodka collins to ya or whatever it is I’m drinkin’).
