Brig: So when do we get the “… but …” after “I do like Randie”? 😉
From my own experience, putting your favourite character in (at least mild) peril gives you the chance to live vicariously… for example, if your character’s in a situation based on your own life, you can have them behave in a way that you didn’t in real life (like telling them where they can stick it) 😉
Yes, Astragali… I tend to live thru Randie. Often times, the way the other characters handle things is the way I would WISH to handle things… Enid’s recent dealings with Max for one.
And I read somewhere recently how a particular author of Cannery Row fame would write a story simply to figure stuff out. It’s a way to chew on some larger problem… thru your own lens. Plus, I like playing in my own little world.
i don’t wanna know what you do to characters you don’t like >.<

Brig, you’ve got all the cardboard cut-outs already, dontcha? 😉 (Randie’s currently standing between my bootleg bonsai and my router :D)
Well, ha can’t be searching for Randy clearly. ^^ He calls for some ‘Randall’, so just ignore.
Time to put out the Unwecome mat.
