Junk Art
There, see RYAN? Sea monsters are way cool… and the artists that make them.
And for those not from my local surroundings. Mossy Landing (fictional)…. is a place here on the Central coast called Moss Landing (not fictional) … home of the “weather machine” (as I call it)… two large smokestacks that seemingly create white billowy clouds. It’s really a power plant pictured in the background there. Moss Landing is very nautical and boat-sy and the home of Phil’s Fish Market, as seen on Bobby Flay’s foodie show.
Also the home of The Whole Enchilada, a great Mexican restaurant with a bar attached called the Moss Landing Inn where I ran karaoke for a couple of years.
Sea Monsters rule. There’s this big sea monster sculpture in Newport. It’s so touristy and tacky, I absolutely adore it.
Rich…. I haven’t eaten at The WE for years… I imagine it is still tasty. They have a nice cafe/coffee shop nearby, too.
Jack! REALLY!?? I’m gonna go see if I can dig a googlepic! NICE!

A real Icthyosaur – awesome
Ahhh, Moss Landing! I kept one of my boats there for a while.
Phil’s is good, as is the Whole Enchilada. and the Haute enchilada used to be good. But, there is a small diner at the south entrance to Moss landing
next to (or almost next to) M&L Liquor’s called The Moss Landing Café.
They make squid n’ eggs that’s to die for. Sadly they are only open for breakfast and lunch.
But yeah I know Moss Landing quite well. 🙂
Ah… just because she’s a fan of his art does not mean she will be a fan of the man himself.
Squid Man (long time no see!) … Yes, I know The Moss Landing Cafe… I agree with you on the Calamari … the seared Ahi appetizer is amazing… I never leave there just satisfied… I always leave there rather overly stuffed!
Grammy P… true. But we’ll see how things go down.
cool icthyosaur. a distant relative, my grandfather’s geat aunt or something like that, discovered the first complete icthyosaur skeleton on the jurassic coast in dorset, england. she also made several other paleontological discoveries.
Hmmm.
Very interesting looks on Ryan there. Now I wonder what he thinks of this guy.
After a miserable but thankfully brief tour of the jungle, I’ve just caught up on my reading. My thought: is Ryan worried HE might be the excluded party now?
Actually I suppose it’s much more likely he’s just wary of how Squish’s scheme might go up in smoke. This fellow does seem like something of a flake.
