It’s Monterey Jazz Festival Weekend. Lots of Jazzies are in town to play, listen, enjoy the jazz. It’s also the time of year where I rant that it is way too incredibly expensive to get in… the 50 dollar grounds tickets (for 3 days) don’t cover the arena stage where biggies like Diana Krall and Bobby McFerrin play… those start at $225. Sigh. It’s no wonder Randie sits outside the festival every year.

Gah! Fuh! And other frustrations! Randie’s birthday was not supposed to run today! It is next week’s toon! So you get a two-fer today because I can’t figure out how to extract the one toon and not the other without losing both … Sigh… Happy two-fer day.

I… am no good at jazz – my ex-girlfriend’s brother was REALLY good at jazz piano. (I can sing blues… but jazz always sounds like a macabre parody when I try singing it….)

Hi ho… yes, there are TWO toons that just happen to mesh together in a pleasing matter. The coffee bit was supposed to run NEXT Sunday, the 29th of September, National Coffee Day (and Randie’s birthday).
