Leo… inspiration comes from many different places… sometimes the alcohol loosens us up so we can look for it better. Personally, Caffeine is more my speed (hahahahah…. speed… get it?). sorry.
Judy… he seemed to do alright by it. And they called him “Jack the dripper.”
SQUID FANS!… tune in to tomorrow’s (Saturday) Blog to see the pics I took of The Monterey Bay Aquarium’s new Tentacles Exhibit. OH! Was I inspired!!!!
ouch. your headache indicators look much, much more painful that the cliche pain lines. poor randie. i drew a streetlight as it looked to me without my glasses once. when i looked at the drawing it reminded me of drawing a cell through a microscope in school. there is a movie somewhere of jackson pollack creating one of his works. it’s fascinating. looks like a wildman but if you pay attention, you see method there. if it has been ported to youtube it might be worth tracking down.
While not creative myself, my Pocket Philosopher is a writer and he basically writes whenever he should be doing anything to look after himself……. the longer he goes without eating or sleeping, the more he seems to write! There have been times when I’ve been talking to him on the phone and all I can hear is clicking keys and him half-deleriously explaining some surprisingly brilliant idea to me. And if I interrupt him and tell him to sleep or something, they seem to go away forever…… sometimes creativity makes me sad.
Had a Friend, back in College, who painted best “Under the Influence.”
Kinda hard t’ keep a Job as a Commercial Artist, that way, though!

I seem to write best under conditions of extreme sleep deprivation– usually right about the time I was intending to go to bed!
