You are soooo right, though, Brig, about appreciating things we’ve not had for awhile. (And “re-get” should be an actual word. Someone contact the people at Webster’s Dictionary and get them on it. Unless they’ve been on it before, in which case they can re-get on it!)
I can certainly appreciate Randie’s sentiment. We recently lost all our worldly possesions to a house fire. Well, it was actually about three years back but it still feels like recently. Anyway, re-getting stuff is both wondrous and momentous!
As an aside, this is my first post but I have been following the strip for a bit. I saw a link to the site while reading my regular strips and checked it out. I was immediately enamored of the characters and have become a big fan. I even went back and read all the archived strips so i would be caught up on all the gang’s adventures.
Oh lord. Lived out of an ice chest, and then a micro refrig with no freezer, for a couple years. Expensive and terribly inconvenient. But not having much food around is good for weight control!
Pastrami would be a budget buster for Randie, I ween.
