I did two good deeds yesterday.
I showed one person how to install her new wiper blades and installed one for another woman who worked at my favorite watering hole.
Yah, you can share the crummy stuff or the good stuff. Thinking good thoughts is nice and sharing them is also. But if you want to get past the dregs of your life, you gotta face them, and what better way than an honest sharing of your accumulated rubbish with others? They won’t listen though. Case in point: Enid.
Happy Thanksgiving week, everyone. It’s my very favorite holiday–all about gratitude, family and loved ones, great food, goofy parades, and no end-of-day letdown–just the warm glow of another happy memory, with Christmas yet to come! And the leftovers,…!
We lost our house, and are renting a very OLD one currently. We have big bills, little food, and Christmas is going to absolutely suck.
However, I used a Living Social deal to spend only $5, but have my donation doubled for Toys for Tots; I donated all my Coke & Disney points to the USO, ASPCA, and another organization for children whose name escapes me. I kinda did feel better after that, all things considered.
Dawnie… hugs to you! Your actions made a difference in the lives of others… this should be comforting… keep your eyes to the sunshine and you won’t feel the cold of the shadows… more hugs.
