The thing about your jokes about gnomes in this comic is that they’re closer to what actual folkloric gnomes were like (actual folklore, I mean). The perception of them as jolly lawn ornaments is a relatively recent (Victorian) development, with our current idea of elves being even more modern (invented by Tolkien). European folklore is pretty much entirely about elves, gnomes, and other fair folk being horrible to every hapless human they encounter.
More like blood red.
Yah… so cheerful, yah?
I don’t know why, but Randie’s prediction reminded me of a Smothers Brothers song from the 60s:
Oops… sorry for taking up so much real estate. I didn’t know it would post THAT big. *blush*

Pete… ha.. I’d not heard that one before! I smile (and no worries about the real estate).
Dave… I’m glad that I am keeping it real. FEAR THE GNOMES!
Shoppers will wonder about the R.I.P. banners on those funeral wreaths.
Pete, I grew up loving the Smothers Brothers! Remember “The Wreck of the Old 49”? heeheeheee…
