I’m a member of the light side. Mmmm, white chocolate. (Or flavoured chocolate can be good too: orange, mint, caramel…)

I still say it’s personal preference. I don’t like dark chocolate at all, and I’ve tried multiple times to enjoy it, but nothing doing. To me, the epitome is a dairy milk… especially a huge one from England.

I think it’s more of a continuum than one or the other; some people like really dark, 80% cocoa chocolate, whereas I like it around 60% or less. Then there’s whether it’s combined with sweeter filling or nuts or the like – you might like a 70% cocoa shell with a caramel filling, but not a block of 70% on its own. Lastly, there’s quality in general – there’s some really tasty milk chocolate out there, and there’s also poorly made stuff that’s all salty and just not that good.
Never seen a Milky Way with caramel in it.
Is that just an American thing or what?
Oh, dark dark DARK. Specifically, Hershey’s Special Dark. Stop judging me.
I love Milky way Dark! One of my absolute faves as far as candy bars go. Randie and I have way too much in common.

Alpha C…. Tastes do change over time… I, like you, didn’t like the stuff back in my youth… NOW, I am not a fan of milk chocolate… But for the record, I do still eat it … But it is not my fav.
Scott… Quality is huge! The crummy Easter and holiday chocolates are usually pretty tossable… So much wax it hardly tastes like chocolate anymore… I read a story about five years ago about Hershey’s adding more fillers into their chocolate…. No more Hershey’s for me.
Dave…really? It MUST be… Because that’s how they do them here… Do you have Three Muskateers there? That would be a Milky Way bar without caramel… Dang it! Now I want a Milkey Way bar!

I’m on both ends: I love white chocolate and I love dark chocolate. (Milk chocolate is okay.) I’m like you, Scott; I love the high cocoa content. My top is the 90%, which is wonderfully bitter.
