Randie gets further reprieve… I knew a couple that lived in Oakland who sublet a place for nearly 3 years… it was a groovy loftish place that used to be a paint factory. I can see why sublet guy didn’t want to let it go.

Why do I get the notion that if ever Durke DOES come home to move back in, Randie will put off finding a new place until the very last second? *hehe* She strikes me as a “if it wasn’t for the last minute, nothing would get gone” kind of person.
Life seems to have only two modes for me, plenty of time and too late.

And Pete, you have the idea that Durke isn’t the kind of guy that would give any notice to his sub-letter?
I once was set to move into a house near the beach with several other tenants (surfer-types)… It was a casual agreement but I was ready with my money order check. 2 days before I was to move in, they decided that they wanted to make the place a vacation rental, and thus, leaving me hanging.
However, I won’t let this little story influence Randie’s fate.
