Ryan’s a worker while Randie’s a discipline avoider.
Pete… “Whistle, er, Woof while you work.” Ha, getting a 7 dwarf image.
Okay, the computer is fixed (an unresponsive black screen no longer), only my mom’s neighbor’s wifi went down for the count and I am now at a Starbucks. (To ward off any wifi pirating comments which I won’t likely see ’til tomorrow… I have my own wifi at my Sacramento rental home which my roommates are now enjoying in sweltering heat; my mom’s neighbor gave me the password to her hookup and I asked her this week about what’s up with it; Sacramento is currently in triple digits; when the thick headlight necessitating Monterey fog burns-off the temp will climb to the mid-60’s…San Fran is warmer.)
Some catch-ups…
Pete… Thanks for the computer wishes.
ladykim and jude… Negative Nancy and the like made me think of Garbage Pail Kid cards (a disgusting-funny take on Cabage Pail Kids and recently featured on a Pawn Stars rerun).
brig… Barbie’s and stufties ganging up on a bully doll? Toy Story 4? Hmm, Toy Storie 3 was in 3D… A Toy Story with smell-o-vision??? Yes, I can relate with Randie’s need for coffee shop wifi oh so well. So sad.
Joe & brig… I still don’t know what Schameel, Schlamazzle, Hasenfeffer Incorporated is supposed to mean. Just thought of them as fun made-up words when they were on the show.
Stick… anything related to toys seems to conjure up Toy Story, don’t it. Diz sure knows how to grab the good ideas…
-glad your ‘puter is well… now you just have to find the internet. I love that cafes offer wifi (which, by the way, the French call “wee-fee”…
-good research… and I am curious to try hasenpfeffer… and should it ever be offered in a restaurant situation, I would. Like escargot and froggie legs… I’m sure I’ll be pleasantly surprised.
thank you mr. squid man…yes. “fond” is definitely a word i would ascribe to my tastes for rabbit. my dad hunted them when i was a child and frequently brought them home for supper. as he did venison and wild boar, i might add. both of which are pretty tasty, as well…
It is better to err on the side of caution than it is to woof your cookies at work. (Work woofing is definitely frowned upon.)
And you know… as much as I like Ryan, the thought of a food server being so anxious to get back to work after being sick is not overly reassuring.
Work will make anyone feel sick.
Pete… Yah… Ryan is an enthusiastic go-getter. Sometimes, a little too enthusiastic.
Jack… If you enjoy your work… it isn’t a chore… if you don’t enjoy your work, reasons to NOT be at work are often entertained.

Okay did a look-up (funtrivia.com by way of google)…
Schlemiel (yiddish): an inept, clumsy person
Schlimazel (yiddish): a chronically unlucky person
A schlemiel is someone who will spill his soup. A schlimazel is the person the soup will land on.
Hasenpfeffer, aka hasenfeffer (german): a stew made of marinated rabbit or hare.
Put altogether with “incorporated” thrown in… a clumsy and unluck, marinated stew pairing/friendship.
Cue the “Making Our Dreams Come True” (performed by Cyndi Grecco) song that follows.

Hasenpfeffer is actually quite good. When it is made properly.
I first heard of this rabbit stew on the bugs Bugs Bunny show when I was a kid.
I’m sure that mr. firedome will have something to comment on this. ( he likes rabbit.)
I’ve seen one recipe state that Hasenpeffer and Saurbrauten are the same except for the meat used (rabbit or hare vs beef roast).
