Art Pen
Art imitating life. I recently misplaced one of my brush pens. I tend to freak out if I lose stuff… and pens make me nearly fanatical if I lose track of them. This particular pen, my Kuritaki brush pen ($35 pen) I wanted to use for an event where I was going to be quick tooning. I was fretting heavily… tossing over couch cushions, crouching under chairs with a flashlight… and rearranging drawers. So this cartoon wasn’t much of a stretch for me.
Happy ending… it was found in a pouch with a watercolor set. whew!
I have been in Randie’s shoes more times than I can count. If it’s not my good pens or pencils, it’s some other art supply that I desperately need and can’t find. Lately it’s jeweler’s quality sandpaper for my jewelry crafting, I have a small packet of different levels of fine grit sand paper that I use to clean up my jewelry pieces before final polishing, and I lose that little packet more often than I can count.
Beethoven’s Rage Over a Lost Penny comes to mind here.
Not as bad as finding your mittens in a refrigerator…. (Kid comes in, makes a beeline for the fridge, takes off his gloves while looking for a snack….)
The Auld Grump
@Yat – One of my favorite Beethoven pieces – Schindler’s subtitle fits it nicely….
The Auld Grump
Pash… art-minded people love their toys… pens, pencils… whatever… and to lose the things you like to play with is near tragedy!
Yat… I don’t know it! must go find!
Grump… mittens in the fridge? sounds like a song coming on…
