I’m all done with mine except for getting my mate and my best friend their gifts. But since we don’t actually celebrate our personal Christmas till some time in January, (after all the in-laws and extended family visits are out of the way) I don’t have to worry about that for another four or five weeks.
And since the stores will be trying to clear out overstock and left behind stuff from Christmas, I will be able to finish up that shopping and save some cash as they drop their prices in order to get rid of stuff. My mate, my best friend, and I have been doing it this way for several years now.
It works great, less stress for us and a much more relaxed holiday.
Pash… wow, that elongates your Christmas Season, don’t it? I always complain on Dec 26 at how the season goes by so quickly…. your’s is a fine antedote. Enjoying the season takes some skill.
Yat… Oh, the sheep are just there to annoy our hero in her sleepless nights. They don’t just limit their topics to Christmas cards and lists… whatever is hanging over Randie’s head… they are there chiding her about it.
Squid. Ha… Certainly they make good cheeze!
And when I had posted this cartoon, I was behind… not so much anymore. Thank you Shop Small/local and Cyber monday. (Although, does one cancel out the other?).
Alright, the demonic sheep of sleeplessness have returned. Love these evil versions of Serta sleep…mostly because they don’t bother me.
I also love my Snuggie, although getting up to do something occaisonally has me taking it along as its attached to my arms, but lifted to keep from tripping. A motorized rolling pin? Really? Won’t that run off a countertop on its own? Hey toes, watch out below!
The idea that Randie suffers trials of insomnia and carries on nighttime conversations with herself (by way of the sheep) makes me wonder about what Ryan was hearing during his extended stay over at her place. Ha, he could have even pretended to be one of the sheep and joined into the conversation.
Squid… Yup, mowed lawns and cheese are pluses. But there’s more. Their fur makes for nice wool sweaters and mittens, their hides make for butter soft sheepskin jackets and gloves, and some folks are rather fond of the likes of lamb chops, leg of lamb, lamb roast and lamb stew. Hmm, wonder if they’d make good pets kind of how some people have pigs as pets.
brig… Congrats. My budget has me seriously held back. Yeh, small business and cyber sales are kinda’ opposites, but if you shop em’ you’re supporting both, not cancelling out either. Uh, win-win-win? You being the third win, or perhaps the first.
Squid… Ya don’t have to kill em’ to get wool, just shave em’. So, got any good pet names for them? Fluffy, maybe? Or, how ’bout Whitey, Blackie, Floppy (as in ears) and Mutton (as in chops)?

I think baby steps are called for here. The sheep should be annoying Randie about sending Christmas cards and saving shopping reminders for next week.
Sheep are only good for mowing the lawn, and making cheese.

Yeah, shop local, shop small that’s the best way.
Stick, I didn’t say kill them! Har Har Har!

Hey, how ’bout Larry, Moe and Curly?
stick… there is a motorized rolling pin… it’s out there. I found it on “the worst presents” page of some UK online mag.
… I think I had a toon or two about Ryan asking Randie to keep it down whilst she was conversing with her sheep.
I do love me some lamb-ie… it’s a greek thing.
Squid, stick… wool is another plus to the whole sheep thing. They’re pretty useful… sheep….
Hah! Clever way to express how the joy of giving can get ewe crazy.
Hope the Art-o-Rama mamas do well in Salinas!
