Rainy Day
This cartoon was based on an actual events… I had walked to work… in the rain… and when I got to The Cartoonery, my paints below my knee were soaked… I’d wished I had a hairdryer… BING! That’s a cartoon! scribble, scribble, scribble!

Gah! I’ve had this happen! This is why I rarely wear socks. But wet pants are seemingly unavoidable.
This is why I pick a skirt on rainy days. No wet pants.
I hate wet paints… I do. I usually become a grump when I am wettened by rainwater. Skirts seem like a good idea… except like Randie, I don’t wear them. But I am glad it works for Auntie Aku… go on!
great colouring! I wasn’t expecting her to use the hairdryer from the first scene on her socks when i saw it
Urgh, been there – but didn’t have a hairdryer… Plus, the day it rained (Jan 25 this year), my jacket took it upon itself to burst its zip *sigh*. My socks were dripping when I changed into my work uniform… But like you Brig, it inspired a strip – namely, this one 🙂
I met my wife because of this sort of situation. The day we first met, it was raining torrentially. I was sitting in my office, awaiting a meeting, and a woman tapped me on the shoulder. When I turned around, there stood the gorgeous woman who was absolutely drenched — despite the raincoat and umbrella — so badly that her nylons were dripping water! But I liked what I saw anyhow, and chased her until she caught me, and this year we’ll celebrate our 27th anniversary!
You meant wet *pants*, right??! 🙂
ha ha! Right… wet pants… not wet paints… which aren’t so bad! Smiles!
And finding love on a rainy day… excellent!
