Hi ho, ho, ho… Just wanted to let you all know that the site was down on Wednesday that required some backing up of the site. I had done an update to the new WordPress version that caused some horrible yucky-ness that led to the crash. Fortunately I had a back up and I employed it… but all the comments were lost from the week’s cartoon. My apologies. If you see any banananess on this website that you haven’t experience before (aside from the gently-falling snow), please let me know. It may be something that went wonky due to the thing.
Stay Jolly.
Harold had gone quiet. I leaned over and gave him a little nudge. “You okay?” I asked. He didn’t respond right away. He just looked out the window at the backyard lemon tree.
Finally he turned and said, “My job… of being a Stufftie, just got more important. We Stuffties need to be there with even more hugs and more comfort… more than ever before.”
He faced the window again. “There’s so much to do.”
“I know,” I said. “There’s a lot of fear out there right now… a lot of anger and confusion.”
Harold reached out and gave me a heartfelt hug. “There,” he said, “It starts right now.”
It was a wild San Jose weekend. Here it is in a nutshell…
It started with check in at our hotel… 15th floor, Marriott… then down to the fun First Friday on First Street… with the International Zine Show at Anno Domini Gallery… and an art opening (“Beauty” complete with DJ) at the San Jose Museum of Art… there was awesome table split with awesome Betsy Streeter at the slim attendance-few sales APE Saturday… Saturday night grub with GULLS (Jack & Ver) at Original Joe’s… Sunday morning recovery… Much better APE Sunday with Fun Jen (Betsy’s amazing minion/daughter) and the quick pack up, no-traffic drive home. Overall, a fun experience with great friends, familiar faces and lots of high notes.
This year’s Alternative Press Expo will be a kick… The Fantabulous Betsy Streeter and I will be sharing book #113… Come witness the silly nonsense and sometimes crazy banananess that is our booth. I’ll have Art-o-rama (zine) action going on, prints, books, brand new hand-drawn buttons and more!
