lsIf you live on the Monterey Peninsula and you’ve been wondering how to get your hands on a copy of Down But Not Out on Squid Row…

Then wonder no more! BookWorks in Pacific Grove is now carrying BOTH Squid Row books for your buying/reading/gift-giving convenience. Yes, pop into BookWorks on Lighthouse, grab a wonderfully crafted coffee-type beverage and curl up on their sofa and read a little Squid.

Squid Row Fact: I lived in Pacific Grove for four years, right up the road from The American Tin Cannery, and it’s where I came up with the concept for Squid Row.

In the comic strip, Pacific Grove is referred to as Cypress Grove… and those who live there are “Grovers.” P.G. residents are, of course, called Pagrovians in real life.

Driftwood

This is a fine boutique right in the heart of Moss Landing…

"Weather maker"

I call these power plant smoke stacks “the weather maker” because white clouds of smoke are often seen billowing out of them.

Here’s a few photos I took recently of Moss Landing.

Andrew Dolan's sea monster

My pal and SurfHound, Andrew Dolan, designed this shirt. It makes me happy!
