New Toy
AIL here… I, like Kai, got me an ipad mini… and I LOVE IT! It is amazing…I’ve been drawing on it (although my stylus isn’t very good). I’ve been taking it with me everywheres. But this joke actually came from more from observing my Nelson… HIS ipad is quite attached to his body. From playing cards, to listening to audio books to internet research, …
Herein illustrated why I don’t have a smart phone.
I think I saw him with it in the line at Rollick’s the other day.
I remember the fist time I saw one of those I-pad thingummies. my buddy steve was showing me how he could do artwork on it (among other things). he brought it on one of his rare visits to first Friday a tear or so ago…it was pretty impressive…the price, though…
if I ever pay that much for any device, it’d best have at least a half Tb of hard drive space and eight gigs of memory…and a quad core processor…
I have a normal iPad that the company provides me with for both work and personal use. I think it’s nice and occasionally handy, but my kids love it. If it weren’t mine via the company, I’d probably have long since lost control.
But as nice as it is, an iPad is NOT a full computer. It has limits. FUN limits, but limits nonetheless.
Chug… it’s easy to get sucked in. Sketchbook productivity is down.
EofO… hee hee… yah…. he’ll have to be careful or his eyeballs will get sucked into and stuck to the screen.
firedome… you can do artwork on it! I’ve been playing with Sketchbook Pro and you will see results of that in the next Art-o-Rama Zine due out this month.
Pete… No, it’s not a full computer… and I like that. It will come with me to France later this month…. and I will use it for the internetting… and Flickr… so you guys can follow along with me and Harold as we visit all things French.
