Okay, I kinda li8ke Mandrake. I mean, he lived in the funny papers, and and he was a magician, who could disappear in a flash and disguise himself…like the octopus! Okay. I change from Fred to Mandrake.

Like it… Did you read about Louis the octopus? She’s that Cornwall octopus that loves the mr. potato head… that cracks me up!

Melvin makes me think of the Giraffe…You should go with either Barnaby or Flash
I liked both names… “Flash” because it is posted on the sign above the octopus “Please don’t FLASH the octopus” but found that the Mr. Octopus stayed in one place for long periods of time… it would’ve been a nice contrast name… “Barny” for short would’ve been a good name… it reminds me of a TV show I would sometimes watch as a kid “Barny Miller.” Anybody else watch that?
