Randie has ANOTHER job! Yay! (?) At least she has a better chance of paying her bills on time… that is if she doesn’t blow her wad on Pop’n Tarts.

Ah, but this is a paying ART job. I don’t think she minds adding those onto the plate. She just needs to get over her habit of thinking about the job until the last minute then scrambling to get it done, heh.
Jacques is getting double use of his money… art for his walls and entertainment for his customers. Hopefully paint thinner comes in unscented or else the stench will make folks’ coffees taste putrid.
Ha. This comic reminds me of the original Blues Brothers film where the band drinks away their performance pay (many beers) and ends up owing the roadhouse for having played there.
Wolf… Welcome back, so sorry to hear of your wife’s major accident (yesterday’s discussion), glad she’s on the mend.
I think Randie works in acrylics, so the smell would minimal. You’re right about the entertainment value of artists, stick. I love seeing people make art…I’d buy coffee all afternoon just to sit and watch worlds appear under someone’s brush. Jacgues’ no fool.
And Wolf…hope your wife’s feeling better! Remember, Ibuprofen is your friend!
Cartoonists, however, get thrown out on the sidewalk!
Toni of Montoni’s Pizza, over on Funky Winkerbean, had an artist painting on his walls for years. His customers enjoyed it.
For Randie, she’s putting a “new face” on a new face and hopefully customers will come back more frequently since they’ll be a part of the process and will want to see it as it unfolds. Sort of a presentation art while the paint-y art is happening.
Changing subjects: Brig, did you ever consider making Squid Row available in French? It would be a terrific way to practice on your own French; especially if you have a French speaker to double-check it. I know Bill Holbrook does “Kevin & Kell” in German. (http://www.kevinundkell.de/ ) It would be fun and might get you a greater following abroad. Even my own web comic had donors from eight different countries.
Oooo, Pete, I like that idea!
Hi Brig. I posted this link on my Facebook page, but it wouldn’t post the comic. Please consult with your website elves and make sure people can share the goodness on FB to help draw people to your comic!
@Jude
She’s feeling much better, and the bruises are fading … but the hits keep on coming. Went short on sleep again today (almost fell asleep twice at work last night >.<) because I got woke up by the news that my grandmother had passed away.
This has been one heckuva week. I'm just hoping this means I am building up a balance in the karma bank big enough for the next lotto ticket to be the big winner …
