Ya Know Cardboar
When you run out of money, free painting surfaces are where it’s at… cardboard is just cool anyhow, except it’s not acid-free… and it don’t last forever. I worry about dumb things like that.

At the supermarket when they ask “Paper or plastic?” you have to tell them… Paper.. it’s so hard to draw on plastic.
I remember when refrigerators came in those HUGE cardboard boxes…they were good for months of fun!
My house is filled with paintings done by my great grandmother. I understand she painted around 500 pieces, mostly landscapes of the hill country in central Texas. While most of them are on nice stretchers with canvas there are quite a few that look like they were done on what ever came to hand when the spirit moved her. Cardboard works.
Woo Hoo! Any type paper will do. How thick would a carboard comic be?
I love the color of cardboard… when you use black and white on it, it just looks cool. And you can shape it into all kinds of stuff! Speaking of old-time frig boxes…. I had one of such boxes that I made into a Pirate ship galley! It was cool… one time I drew space ship controls on another… you are only limited by your imagination!
Hee hee… stretched plastic with Sharpie marker would be cool… maybe stretched over coat-hanger. And Cardboard cartoon cut-out characters! Nifty ideas!
Great idea! Never thought of this before, I’m getting into guerilla art so impermanent stuff is cool.
A few friends and me are going to round up some cardboard and a marker, make a car, and “drive” it through a fast food drive-thru. I can’t wait :)! Wish us luck!
(looks at the title to today’s blog entry) Cardboar? đŸ™‚ That’d be a poker playing pig, right?
Card boar… ha!
Yes, I need to make my squid comic titles shorter…. Mark & Crow have brought this to my attention as well… I guess I oughtta take the hint!
Um you know there’s already a comic made of cardboard (and other) cut-outs, you should check it out. It’s called “My Cardboard Life” and the characters are really cute.
Yes, My Cardboard Life… When last at The Alternative Press Expo in San Fran, I got to meet Philippa (“Phil”). She’s a cool Brit. And her comic rocks! or papers & scissors… (really bad pun [?] there)… Anyhoo… yah… I agree… I like that comic lots!
