If I were her, I would offer to work for a year or a set amount of time…in exchange for eventual ownership of said vespid…Fred can always buy another vespid and paint it pink for the official coffee shop vehicle. And Randie could agree to paint *her* vespid a diff color after she got it. 🙂 Of course, that makes entirely too much good common sense for Randie to go that route 😉
If you look at yesterday’s comic, nothing he says indicates he’s doing this to help Randie. It’s just a wise business decision. That doesn’t make Fred cold, or a jerk. It makes Fred a savvy businessman.
So Randie is vespid-less unless she can come up with a solution.
Yikes, Randie’s short dream sequence is taking on a nightmarish tone.
Heather’s work-to-own idea sounds good, but not without getting the Vespid full-time.
Joe, I like your time-share idea.
Randie using the Vespid for herself is her time on it.
Randie using the Vespid to get to work and making deliveries is Fred’s time on it.
The Vespid gets a Joe’s Cuppa Joe sticker (rolling advertisement) and in return Fred covers its purchase, insurance and gas.

Well, she still has her bike. It takes more work to ride than a vespid but it’s better than walking or taking the bus.
New plan, shared ownership?

Have a heart, man! Let her ride her shiny pink beauty!
…that would be the Vespid, people.
Thanks for the clarification.
Randie really doesn’t have a lot of wiggle room here. At least JChow isn’t getting it.
Yah… Vespid-less…. but Jimmy ain’t got it… and that’s a plus!
…and Ride the Shiny Pink Vespid…
There’s always a catch, isn’t there.
