Very heartfelt montage, and it’s always nice to reflect a little when a chapter of our lives ends. Looking forward to a new beginning for Randie and the gang!
I find that when you are approaching the end of a chapter, literary or otherwise, you wonder…what’s next? Randie is on the verge of possibilities… an exciting, and terrifying, place.
On the next page of her sketchbook, Randie’s going to practice signing her name with whatever Jacques’ last name is. Oh, and dotting the “i”s with hearts, yes, hearts, big hearts.
Hmm, mind wandering… I like to know how things work and really like to know how personalities work. I tend to analyze interactions a lot.
There’s a story about Sting, the solo and “Police” singer/bass player, that describes me pretty well in this manner, only I’m not big on metaphysical tangents.
He went rafting with some folks and the raft he was on sprung a leak and deflated. While the other folks just chalked it up to rafting and wanted to move on, he was perplexed and stopped to to figure out the cosmological meaning behind it.
And a big congrats to the 49ers. The game was tough to watch. They were losing from the start until well into the 4th quarter. But they shut out the Falcons in the second half and won it. Next stop, Super Bowl.
Squiddies… wow… that’s a lot of wandering… It’s fun to see where other people’s minds run off to when given the chance. It’s kind of like walking past houses at night. I like to gaze into the open windows and see people’s houses…. not in a weird-creepy-peeping tom sort of way… but in a “ooo, look at their nifty furniture” sort of way.
Hmmm… wandering down the “streets of the mind” … almost sounds like a song, don’t it? Gats to get Kai on that one.
Thanks for sharing… and sorry for the overdue reply. Health issues.
I don’t let my mind wander; it’s too little & can get lost.
Random wanderings usually – Work, to-do lists, thinking about books i’m reading, etc.
You don’t want to know…..

Mostly to places I’ve visited, or want to visit.

I let my mind wander, it always ends up playing in the gutter and trying to climb down the storm drain.
Hence the braided titanium steel leash with carbon fiber jacketing. Gotta keep that bugger under control.
My mind wanders to my many characters begging to have their novels written so they can finally have a voice.
