Turkey Tacos
If somebody doesn’t already make a pumpkin pie horchata… they SHOULD.
You’ve got your pumpkin pie in my horchata! … you’ve got your horchata in my pumpkin pie!
If somebody doesn’t already make a pumpkin pie horchata… they SHOULD.
You’ve got your pumpkin pie in my horchata! … you’ve got your horchata in my pumpkin pie!
OOOH! I want one! I want one!
Happy Turkey Taco Day, Brig!
Happy Thanksgiving, Pilgrim.
Hope everyone had a happy thanksgiving.
Those tacos do look pretty good. In the spirit of festive, holiday overindulgence, I’m suspecting that R&R may be experiencing some turkey taco hangovers later.
It may have been a hidden blessing that the 49er-Raven game was on the NFL Network, which no one seems to have. Would have been sad to see the actual loss by younger brother Jim Harbough’s Niners to older brother John Harbough’s Blackbirds. Not that I didn’t try to see it along with others visiting and feasting on turkey day. The TV was no help, the internet there was stunningly slow, and a favored sports bar at a low-rise hotel close to my mom’s was fascinatingly closed on one of the biggest football sports days of the year…a sports bar!!
Oh, well. Late night and early morning Black Friday hustling, bustling, deals, charity coffee and bake sale goodies, and lively crowds proved to be re-energizing.
Egg Nog at Thanksgiving?? I thought so. Brought 4 quarts of the stuff. Folks at Thanksgiving were not so won over, and resisted indulging. Only one carton got cracked open. Others given back to me. Had some egg nog french toast this Friday morning. Mmm. Yummy. Am planning to stay the week in Monterey. Will bring egg nog with to FF if any remains until then. Happy turkey recovery coupled with leftover rehashing.
Both sound scrumptious. Are they real?
Dada & Joe… Hope it’s been a wonderful holiday for you both!
stick… you’ve had a busy holiday! I am not an eggnogger at Thanksgiving… but I enjoy the low-fat possibly non-dairy eggnog at Christmastime… I guess that ceases to be eggnog really. I do like the stuff, though.
Shon (Welcome!)… I made up the pumpkin pie Horchata… and although I made up the turkey tacos many Turkey-days ago, I saw a newspaper article this year on “creative leftovers” … and T-tacos was included. If anyone has a blender and some leftover pumpkin pie…. lemmie know how they turn out.
Based on your comic I took some turkey and sour cream and cayenne pepper sauce and tried an experimental turkey burrito. It was good. Next time I’ll add my usual burrito bits and help make the turkey vanish.
I love horchata but it is a luxury item at the moment. They trick will be finding out how to suspend the pumpkin in the horchata so it doesn’t get too lumpy.
