Treat
I, myself, have never had mansanada, but am completely open to loving it… as all the stuff that is in is stuff I love! It sounds scrumptious!

I’ve had Haroset, which is apples, walnuts and spices. It is a traditional food served as part of the seder, or Passover meal. It is incredibly delicious.
Another similar treat to what Ryan is serving is Jewish apple spice cake. Oddly, it apparently isn’t of Jewish cuisine origin, but of Pennsylvania Dutch (Amish) roots. It is popular among orthodox Jews because it is made without dairy products, which means it can be eaten at meals where meat is served.
Not that it matters; Amish, Jewish, Lutheran (me!), or whatever, ‘dems good eats! 🙂
Pete… I love Haroset or herOHset. I really dig that stuff! Anything with cinnamon and apples and walnuts and stuff…. mmmmm….
Good eats makes me happy.
*goes to look up the recipe*
Shoo-fly pie.
Chug…. some people even add a little red wine.
Beetles… THAT stuff is like pure sugar!!!! Diabetes cometh!
YES. For the love of taste-buds, YES. Mansanada = pure awesome. If you haven’t tried it, do so. You’re missing out. I have eaten a LOT o things and it stands out as one of the best memories I have of munchies.
But I thought you liked shoo-fly pie?!
