Trader Moe
When you don’t have something, say food for example, you often focus on it. And they say you shouldn’t go to the market hungry… you are likely to put EVERYTHING in your cart…
…they also say draw what you know.
And I love Trader Joe’s… I just love them! A friend recently asked me why I felt this way about said grocery? (she didn’t find the market to be anything special). I just looked at her blankly. Where to begin?
*grin* I think we need to go there together…
I laugh because my boyfriend came back from Trader Joe’s with that exact same pink lemonade.
Now that’s an eye for detail!
HA! I hate when that happens.
Yeah. You either “get” Trader Ho’s or you don’t. It’s not something that can be described or explained.
Yah, Jammie, I will take you to TJ’s.
I saw the best wine label in the TJ wine cellar the other day: Canard Sauvage. Too bad it was a zin.
I get the best Jalepeno Yogurt cheese at TJ’s… and I picked some Kefir, too!
And the Pink lemonade… Rachel… did you try it?
I’ve never heard of such lemonade in France s:-|
Anyway, it also happens to me : sometimes, i buy so much that some of the food go to waste because the consumption date has expired or the veggies and fruits got rotten …
Thought I am far from being a specialist in wine (I don’t like wine), but as far as I know, a French wine’s name is generally the name of the location where it is produced (Bordeaux, Côte du Rhone, Champagne or Château Rothschild, etc…) or a name of some French noblemen who had owned the wine estate. So, something like “Wild Duck” can only be a fake …
It’s not uncommon for American companies to “use” the french language on stuff as a selling tool. Trader Joe’s (a popular market in the US) has the lemonade there, there are countless wine companies in California (like the Canard Sauvage) whose names are french… it adds a certain level of interest to the consumer. Ninjayanyan, do the French do likewise? Do you have “American style” products? or products with an Americanized label? (not American in orgin)…
Trader Joe’s is a wonderful place. There’s always something really cool and on sale. Plus they have their awesome “Fearless Flyers”! My family and I had a Chinese dinner that cost the price of one meal at a take out place. Their frozen Chinese food is great.
