Time Off
Working in retail, there are always conflicts in work schedules. Days off and co-ordinating time off is a huge manager-type thing I am so glad I didn’t have to deal with much in my retail past.

Tell me about it. My wife works in retail and it is harder than heck to make plans.
poor Randy,…. I know her pain!
It always seems that the people who least deserve the time off, always get the time off. Leaving the people who need it off for a good reason to
go without.
Portland? Go Twink Go!
Horror fest? Now you’re talking.
Here’s my favorite horror movies (in no particular order)
Texas Chainsaw Massacre
Psycho
Night of the Living Dead
Phantasm
Nightmare on Elm St (only the 1st one)
Friday the 13th (1-8) <– How nerdy is that?
Nosferatu
Freaks
Blair Witch Project
The Shining
Alien
28 Days Later
The Exorcist
Ha. There is no way that Grace will miss a Horror-fest. Plus, what could possibly happen to it? It being canceled due to sunny, nice weather?
So what to do? Quit and worry about work on her return? Have Ryan go solo (well, with Twinks in tow) and relay notes and photos back?
Seems that Mouse is apt to be a pushover if Randie can only stand up more for herself. And, if she can’t apply strength, maybe she can start crying uncontrollably and win on sympathy.
SKIP HORROR-FEST?! That’s just too much to ask for, Randie!
Besides, I would probably be working at a convention like that, and you know how much I enjoy seeing my pal Grace!
Squid man… Yes, God bless retail…. and all the pain that goes with it.
Jack… OH… you ARE a fan. Randie is, too. People often ask if Randie and I are the same. I usually answer something like… “largely, but I take a good lot of artistic license.” This is one of those instances. I am not a fan of the modern horror film. I do, however, enjoy old scary movies…. Vinnie Price and Drac and black & white monster movies.
… also… PHANTASM commercials on TV SCARED me as a youth person! And the Exorcist is the most terrifying movie ever made… and I cannot watch it.
stick… Yah… I don’t think Grace would do something NICE… ever. But Mouse is responsible… pushover yes…. but responsible.
Dada… And your happy smiling mug would be a sketching away at Horror-Fest! If y’all don’t know, Dada does Fabulous caricatures of monsters and villains! If you’ve been to my studio, you’ve seen his amazing work!
Soon I’ll be taking my own 2-week vaca – which I was denied last year because all my vacation time was spent recuperating from a broken arm.
Gah! That’s right! I remember this arm-breaking! Soooo, do you have plans for your vacation? going anywhere? or doing a Staycation?
Seems like the Horror-fest is starting a bit early. Too bad Grace is not around to revel in the joy of it.
Ha. Staycation. A local place up here in Sacramento promoted having a “Playcation” a couple years back. It did not occur to them until afterwards that their advertising was “placating.”
Jay… Hello there! Yah… so many times that was me.
stick… I love writing for Grace. Dialogue with her is just fun. You’ll see more of Ms. Horror-fest herself. Dada… Grace sends her love.
Going to New England and parts east.
