Tetris Nevermind
Weird thing #672… so I write this comic with the ol’ school Tetris reference… not something that comes up everyday… Tetris. I go to my french class that night, and my instructor asks a fellow student (in French) if she plays video games… you’ll never guess her answer…. yuh huh! Tetris! Weeeirrd!
….What’s…Tetris…???….I think my mind exploded.
I never really played Tetris… but some of my pals did… I think Mouse is a regular player… probably like my pal Nelson, who plays computer solitaire while he’s “in between” things… like waiting for something to download… I see Mouse as doin’ the same thing.
I used to KILL at Tetris, back in the day. Every Tetris machine in the Anaheim, CA area – including the one in the Space Arcade in Disneyland – had my initials taking up most of the top ten slots.
My personality has much improved since then…
That’s so nifty…I wasn’t all that good at Arcade Games… I liked Galaga, Asteroids…. and later Street Fighter, but my name never graced any screens. I learned early that they were serious quarter suckers for my skill level! But way (wayyyy back in the day) Texas instruments came out with a home computer that ran off your tv and a tape deck (anyone remember that?) and there was a game called Tunnels of Doom that was kinda like Dungeons and Dragons… and my pal Audra and I played that for HOURS at a time… like the whole day!
What’s Tetris?
Excuse me while I cry in a corner.
I really love Mouse’s nervous nose-scratching in the first panel. Great body language.
Just a bit behind the ball here, but…
I still play my TI-99/4A!! And yes, I have Tunnels of Doom. Great for a nostalgic game play- or a bit of old school programming, lol.
I like your unique art style- and good story lines!
