T Day Fiasco
That is one Thanksgiving dinner you din’t want to be at!
I can only remember one family Thanksgiving that was dramatic… it involved a fender bender on an LA freeway (on the way to Gramma’s house)… but I was like thirteen.

Actually, given that everyone comes round to Beebs’ place (usually) when it’s Thanksgiving, what does she do for a living?
Coulda been worse… that coulda been a REAL Turkey that was tipped over. Oh… the horrors! (Flashback to the dogs in the kitchen scene of “A Christmas Story”.)
I can’t really remember any dramatic Thanksgivings, a few incidents of cats or other animals deciding to have their own share. And the one time my sister learned of my fear of raw poultry, picked up the entire turkey and chased me with it (that was only a few years ago…hehe).
I’m trying not to, because November’s not over yet, but all I can think about is Christmas! I’m a total holiday queen. We just had our first snow of the year here. it looks like a scene off a postcard out my window! I took our puppy out on her first-ever snow adventure, she actually enjoyed it! I’m surprised.
At thirteen you probably thought the car “wreck” was COOL.
Astragali: Beebs (and her boyfriend “Organic Meat Guy”) work at Happy Planet Foods (a big locally owned health food store)… Beebs likes to cook veggie-style.
Pete: Real “floored turkey” is just tragic…
Meghan: Really? Raw poultry freaks you out? Hee hee. I guess other peoples cook the bird fer ya at T-day.
Beetle: The car incident was scary… it involved a large truck and our station wagon.
I can kinda sympathise with Meghan: Although I can actually look at raw chicken, skinning one grossed me out… (the former wife and I were trying to see if it was better to roast a bird with skin off)
On a happier note: Hot, freshly roasted chicken on sandwiches with mayonnaise is delicious! 😀
mmmm…. chicken… I love the chicken… and the turkey…. and the duck…. which I actually feel guilty about. Poultry eating makes me happy. Sigh. Sorry Poultry.
