Fog… with your “foghome” handle… it makes sense. Having moved to the Central CA Coast in ’96, I have become very accustomed to the marine layer. I’m with you… the natural air conditioning is nice. Areas that are too warm… make me most cranky.
buzz… I think that the Ariz. heat would shrivel me…. and probably foghome, too.
Grump… “twitchy”? … wow… I have been to Seattle a few times… rainy, it was… but there were a few days of sunshine in there… I’m guessing the twitch was about to set in though. And the green is very nice… the traffic-not so much.
A Rat… In California… the weather has gotten to be “it’s supposed to be (blank) this time of year, but instead it’s (blank)…. I blame that global warming.
Beetles… and today as I write… it’s raining… which isn’t usually a word to fill in the blank this time of year. And DRY heat is STILL HEAT! I lived in 29 Palms AND Barstow… heat at all is yucky heat!
Pete… Gah… yesterday was quite humidiferous here… the air was pretty heavy with precip… and today… total muggy rain. Blecht. BUT this will get us ready for France… where this weather is normal for this time of year.
I look forward to “June Gloom”. It’s one of the many reasons I moved to San Francisco. So bring on the fog!
Here in AZ, it’s been summer since April 🙂
A friend from Seattle claims that folks get a little… twitchy… if they have had too many days of sunshine.
Sure makes Washington State green though….
The Auld Grump
“Trust, but verify” works for calendars, too.

brig,
When I was first moved to CA in the early fifties, everyone would always say the weather was unusually (blank) for that time of year.
Summer moves into Philly this week. Highs in the 90 for the next four days, with a “cool front” allowing only a high of 88 on Friday.
For me though, it’s not the heat. (I grew up in Phoenix.) It’s the humidity.
Pete,
In California’s central valley (think Sacramento) they claim the summer temaperatures aren’t that bad “You don’t feel it because it’s”dry heat.”
