Sulking
I tend to dwell on things… I give far too much mental energy to problems and small disasters. I am a classic worrier/”what if’er… BUT I am learning that things that aren’t in my control are better left with less brain time. Trusting that all things work out with a little faith.
Looks like the play could be very good for Randie… or very bad.
Recipe for a good night’s sleep: When worries trouble you at night, ask these two questions:
1. Have I done all that I can to ease the worry or solve the problem?
2. Is there anything I can do RIGHT NOW to fix the problem?
If you’ve done all you can and there’s nothing you can do about it now, then get a good night’s rest and plan to tackle it tomorrow!
And belated welcome back, Brig. Hope you had a nice trip!
Some funny little cartoonist I know got a nice write-up in today’s SCAPULA comic!
Not that I’m hinting at anything…
Pete: that is a great recipe for squishing late night freak out. But if the answer is no to either one or both… then… freak out!
Thanks for the welcoming backing.
Dada: YOU cheeky monkey!
Brig,
Is this a real play?
We have a few days of good weather ahead, but it will still get down to the 20’s at night. Any melting snow will turn to ice by the time I’m on my way home from work tonight.
Be careful on the ice-y roads! I hate driving in those conditions! (That’s why I live where I do…)
Yes! I am so glad you asked, Joe. I saw this play recently; It is a French play called simply “ART” and it is about a group of three old friends and one of them buys a very expensive painting. The painting is white with white stripes. This doesn’t sit well with the other two and they argue about the painting… but mostly they argue about one another and their friendship.
If you want to see the play in its entirety, YouTube has a version. Google that puppy!
Brig: Is… is that Randie in that Girls’ Night Out cartoon?
And before I go, I have a public announcement, especially appropriate at this time of year:
Remember, a dog is for life, not just for Googling.
(Help control the troll population. Remember to have your browsers spayed or neutered.)
I think that’s the whole gang there in the webcomic.
Dada can I have some Monet? I’d like to buy some Dutch Masters.
Joe… you are correct, Sir… that would be the WHOLE gang (including Ryan) at a, ahem, establishment of… naughty-ness. And that lovely little toon came free when I bought a Scapula book from Dada himself! This could happen to you if you fork out some Monet for it. Let me say that I am a highly satisfied customer!
Oh, you! Tee hee hee hee!
Le blush.
Brig: Gah! (and apologies to Dada) I hadn’t even noticed the rest of the gang – I was just transfixed in mock horror by the concept of Randie doing that sort of thing…
Flippin’ good drawing, mind you 😀
Did you notice Ryan looking horrified in the corner?
