And yet Carol and Grace were two different… demons, if you will, to be exorcised. Carol was more passive and elusive in her destruction of her own business, while Grace was upfront and obvious. And between the two, at least with Grace you knew where she stood. You didn’t like it, but you could address it directly.
I’d prefer neither, but would take Grace if forced to choose. She’s the easier of the two to plan around.
I’d like to say that the impediments are gone and their romance can finally flourish, only Mouse is too caught up in running his new found business and Randie’s too caught up in her own self. For all their misgivings, at least Carol and Grace brought M & R together.
It’s interesting, and encouraging, to see the way Mouse is interacting with Randie in today’s strip. Has Mouse’s debilitating crush for Randie been replaced by a true love of running a business?
D… many would agree with you…. Carol, surprisingly, is the most unloved character in this story.
squid man… progressively. And I can’t think of the phrase “moving right along” without singing the muppet song.
Mc Duff… ha… splash of holy paint water.
Grey… Mouse would take Randie any day over the two evil-doers!
Pete… speaking of evil-doers… Yes, Grace put the evil right up front. Whereas Carol’s evil was buried in layers of tardiness, forgetfulness and shoulda-been-done-yesterday activities. Sigh.
… and perhaps Mouse has found something to truly occupy his time with. Instead of daydreaming about Randie all the time, he can surround himself with sales reports, merchandise trends, and backorder reports.
stick… they were bound together in the chains of unfortunate co-workers & bosses. At least they could drown their sorrows in coffee and grumblings.
My fundraiser is live now so you can check out the amazing logo that the artist created for it (with only a little tweaking from me) here. She’s an amazing artist and actually made several different versions of the logo before I settled on the one I wanted.
She specializes in logos and has a lot of talent, you can see more of here work here: http://peek-a-boo-art.deviantart.com/gallery/ The funny thing is I didn’t know it till today but she’s in Ireland!
mouse is gaining a lot of confidence, which is good, but i hope he doesn’t find his obsessive tendencies suppressing his old personality and himself becoming all business in a bad way.
Pasha… I really love the Punk Llama! Your artist did a fine job! So that’s an Irish Lass of a Llama then? … I wish your fundraiser all kinds of good thoughts and a quick start…
anatman… He is, isn’t he? But Mouse will find his way…. sometimes, you learn from your mistakes… he’ll get there somehow.
Keep the Grace-lose the Carol.
At least they are moving right along.
The power of art compels you! The power of art compels you!
Just put some Randie in there – it always managed to cancel out the Carol/Grace aura in the past …
