Starving Artist Gesso
I often have a hard time letting things go. I did a commission painting one time that the customer never paid for or picked up…. (lesson learned there!)… and so I had this painting for YEARS of someone’s grandmother in her youth. It wasn’t a bad painting but it really didn’t mean anything to me. I only recently gessoed over “gram” and painted something way better over it… RAndie dreaming of Paris!
Two, three, or four for the price of one?
Don’t put TOO many coats on a canvass. Anyone ever watch the episode of Malcolm In The Middle where Hal creates a spectacular work of art but the weight of the paint eventually crashes down on him?
Of course if the re-used canvass is ever x-rayed…
Bonjour (cheek kiss-kiss-kiss)… I am now back at home… it is Monday and I am in my office catching up. I am sorry that I fell behind there on the comments for the last week or so. I blame … Harold. Meh, I have no blame to give. I was just consumed with the tripping.
I will post something more official like later… but thank you your continued reading and support. Hugs!
As far as canvi go…
Pete… was not a Malcom watcher but sounds interesting… You Tube probably has it. I check.
Joe… It’s a bargain, no? They might just find poker dogs on the initial layer.
Beetle… they’ll find the poker dogs…heh heh.
