Seagulls
One of the bestest things to do on a “special day” would be to go to the ocean, sit and eat a picnic lunch, and paint or draw the locale. The only thing better would be to have your lovelies about you sharing in some lunching (and I don’t mean seagulls!)
Trips to the museum are nice, too… glasses of wine… frozen yogurt with sprinkles… cake.
Here in Puget Sound we like to sit in our car at the beach and pitch popcorn or cheetos out at the seagulls. Then we watch the sqaubbles as one tries to hog the food and the local crows steal it under their noses, while the pigeons just wander around looking confused.
Happy Birthday Brig!!!!! May your day be filled with happiness and…..cake with sprinkles!
Love, Mom
Hey, kids! It’s another installment of Today’s Tidbits!
IN OCEAN CITY, NEW JERSEY, it is illegal to eat chocolate chip cookies on the boardwalk. Why? Because the chocolate chips give the seagulls diarrhea! (ewwwwww…)
LIGHT BLUE is the most popular color for cars among residents in New Jersey shore communities. Why? Seagulls have learned that cars provide a very hard surface; perfect for dropping clams on so they shatter. (And dent the hood, crack the windshield, etc.) But if you have a light blue car, the gulls think its water and won’t drop clams on it!

Mom… Sprinkles are a certainty… because I bought some last night… along with some dark chocolate frosting! Now alls we need is a little angel food cake… mmmm. It’s on it’s way. Do you remember Dad’s frosted birthday angel food cake that Josh ate whilst we weren’t looking? Hee hee. Level 4 birthday fun!
Ruth: Go crows! Smart little devils, eh? pigeons… not so much.
Um… thanks Pete for that… um…. thanks.
Every once in a while I replay that short video of the seagull sauntering into the convenience store and coming out with a bag of chips in its beak. Kills me every time.
Happy Birthday, Brig!
