A Muppet Christmas Carol is our favorite holiday movie, second ONLY to A Charlie Brown Christmas. (The only Christmas special that has the TRUE meaning of Christmas.)
Gonzo & Rizzo = the greatest team-up since Crosby & Hope.
“You can fit through those bars?”
“Yeah.”
(pause)
“You are such an idiot.”
“What? WHAT?? What?”
Today’s Tidbit: The “theme song” for Peanuts, introduced during the opening of “It’s The Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown!” is really titled “Linus & Lucy Theme” and was intended for them. But the song became so popular that it is universally thought of as the theme song for the entire Peanuts world.
Also, @Pete’s tidbit: Seriously? That’s pretty interesting… although I really don’t doubt it, it always seemed like it didn’t quite ring true to Charlie Brown’s character…
Ah… yes… It is NOT Christmas without the Charlie Brown Christmas special or the Muppet Christmas Carol… c’mon… singing horses, chickens and penguins! and…. “Light the lamp not the RAT!” What’s not to love? And Linus explaining the Christmas mystery and the little pathetic tree… sigh….
Yah, and I LOVE “Linus and Lucy”…. it’s one of my all-time faves… top 10 best songs ever!
I saw that! Did you see the footage on the news? It was amazing! An octopi crawling along the floor, finding a coconut, scoopin’ out the mud and using a coconut to hide in! Dang crafty creatures!
