“It’s More Fun When You’re Not Allowed” is the title of the Year One collection of Namir Deiter comics. We chose it because of the storylines in the book, but also because of it’s truth.
Of course, it’s “More Fun” only while you’re doing it. And only for certain things. But whenever you’re depriving someone else of the joy you’ve stolen… well.. it’s never fun.
Poor Randie… she’s now faced with the Hypodermic of Doing The Right Thing. It’s painful when taken, but better in the long run. But… WOW… that’s a big needle.
you just know she will find the owner and give it back, and she will feel happy but sad, then she will find something else to fill the void in her heart.
BeetlesBane: I think she’s become rather sick and tired of Harold complaining about Bun Bun being missing (not that Harold can help it, poor thing), so any mention of him is going to result in a negative response from her.
I’m just glad that Bun Bun/Harold isn’t the character from Sluggy Freelance, because Randie would be in serious trouble if he was!
Wow, some good imagery in this thread. “Hypodermic of Doing the Right Thing” FTW! I think those are Randie’s “Shoulder angel” and “Shoulder devil”. Mine bother me a lot!
Wow, there may be nothing but downside to trying to reunite little Harold with BunBun. Mom was glad to be rid of it, Harold needed to move on, etc. In my experience, No Good Deed Goes Unpunished. Still, at the end of the day, it’s the Right Thing to Do.
Sometimes parents get all exasperated with their children and as a result get short with them. Kids have a tendency to go on and on about things. Perhaps Harold the kid wouldn’t stop crying to the point of tediousness… and his mother got indifferent about it.
Bad devil… bat… thing! For shame! *wags finger* 😛

…..damn i hate being cynical
I’m left to wonder: does Harold’s mother want Bun-Bun returned?
It’s like letting go of a bad habit… You know you ought to but you really don’t want to.

Oops.. that link was incorrect – shame on me! This is the correct one, hopefully 🙂
You know she’s going to do the right thing but it won’t be easy or fun…
