Sometimes, when you don’t got money and then you come into some… you’ve been frugal so long that you just wanna splurge a little. At least that’s what happens to me.

There’s usually some element of splurging each time I get paid *ahem*… But sometimes, I can actually talk myself out of buying totally unnecessary stuff – and then the less-sensible side gets really antsy with the sensible one…
Even for a good angel, a disembodied flying head is a little scary …
When it was like that for me, I’d set the majority aside, then spend the remainder without a care in the world.
…
No, I didn’t. I blew it all on fun stuff and figured “the check is in the mail” plus the three days it took to clear would carry me through to payday.
Crow…. The angel heads, or Putti, as they are called, became a popular motif in Renaissance architecture…. I took photos of them at many cathedrals in England and France. They kinda spook me, too. but it seemed a good way to represent Randie’s good and bad conscience.
I’m a splurger. I hold it together most of the time and then the flood gates open!
Angel heads are cool! I’ve never seen paintings like those though, I guess I ought ot bone up on my art history 🙂 !
You’ve been to France? I guess you acheieved Randie’s(and mine, actually) dream of going to Paris?
“Putti”? Hmm… didn’t know when I started reading this comic, I’d end up being edumacated by the author… *pout*
Mark (who just returned from the library with three more Steinbeck books, thanks to a certain web comic artist 😉 )
I have been to Paris, yes… it is all that Randie hopes it would be!
This summer I will be returning to Paris… and also to Provence in the south. I will be working some storyline in and around the trip with some blogging both on this site and bridgettspicer.com. I will see if I can find some more Putti whilst there! …for giggles! So stay tooned!
Happy Steinbeck Reading, Mark!
