my last cat wasn’t too cazy about loafing in a sunbeam, either, although she didn’t mind lazing outside in the sun. i think it was all that black fur she had that kept her from doing it indoors.
Lover didn’t hang out by the window for the sunbeams, though I think it was a plus. Her primary purpose was to watch the birds … intently. We could always tell when she was at it, because she wold do what we called “barking at the birds”. Was a weird sound, almost like a stuttering yowl. I likened it to what it would sound like if a cat tried to imitate a human going “ack ack ack ack”.
Hmm. Is Twinkie following the sunlight or is the sunlight following him?
The way his image is identical in each frame (cut & paste?) makes it appear that he might well have been picked up by a herd (?) of ants and is being carried off for reasons unknown, the sunlight being either a coincidence or perhaps a naturally occuring theatrical spotlight.
Wolf… Ha, your “ack, ack, ack” sound brought back fond memories of Tim Burton’s funny sci-fi flick, Mars Attacks! It also brought back less than fond memories of past hairball (furball) attacks.
Cats that don’t like sun? Weeeeiiird. Bird watching might just be the feline favorite pastime, next to sun catching. I love watching the focus & the cat talking that occurs when birds are nigh… So long as no birds are harmed in the process.
I admit that I did do a bit of cut & paste on this one.
this is very true! My cate do it all the time!
My mom’s doesn’t like sunbeams too much. Granted, she is pretty fat and thick-furred.
