The Massachusetts DMV was pretty fast. Back in ’85, I’d moved there from New York and needed to get a MA. drivers license. They just took my NY license and exchanged straight up. No tests, no eye exam, no ID check… nothing. And that was policy for drivers licenses from ANY state.
So, yeah, it went fast. But there’s a REASON Massachusetts drivers have a reputation for being the worst drivers in the country.
