I enjoy the summer, but it’s about halfway through August that I start thinking of the fall. Autumn arrives around early October here – weather-wase – but with the coolness we’ve had this year, I hope it comes a little earlier. Autumn is my favorite season, with Winter being a close second, so My favorite six months of the year are about to start!
Pete… HOT DOG! It’s your time of year then!… well, you’re thinking about it anyhow. I have come to appreciate Fall more. I look back (in my youth) at September as the excitement of starting school, of the change of color (orange has really been growing on me…) and the beginnings of Halloweening. I, for some reason, associate Fall with Eureka, CA and things that happened to me in the first and second grade. It’s funny how we pull up stuff from our past like that.
It’s always nice to have a friend eager to enjoy their time when you’re starting to wind down. It can really help to keep you moving. I used to know a woman in NY that was an absolute winter maniac…….. I’m more spring and fall. Right around the time I was grumbling about snow she was stocking up on hot chocolate and planning trips to ice sculpture displays. When she was moping because the snow was melting I was gearing up for fresh flowers and post winter martial arts school challenges. Then there was summer and neither of us were eager to do much hehehehehehehe.
I’m about to embark on my annual trip to the Port Clinton/Marblehead/Put-In-Bay area (north central OH). It’s delayed a week due to Stuff At Work. Really needing this break.

Just an FYI:
How many Artists are there in a Billion People? (Yes, Billion with-a-“B”)
Now go to YouTube and search for:
“Greatest Man to Ever Live: Norman Borlaug ”
Actions speak, especially when they keep REAL people from DYING!
Summer’s winding down and I’m so stoked. I am an Oregon Coast kid for life and anything over 80 degrees and I wilt. Oh, great Gull btw.
