And yet… doesn’t an artist also need a sense of “there’s always a tomorrow” to gain perspective on the freedom of life? Imagination doesn’t do well when chained down by practicality and cautiousness. (Not that it can’t benefit a bit by having practicality as a guide line.)
Pete… “there’s always a tomorrow” sounds like a theme song to a Procrastinator’s Club. Randie would be involved with such a club… or maybe not, anymore? Who knows…
… anyhow… pretty Haiku… is it yours?
Mary… one should probably keep it in mind that it all could end at any moment…. and if it should, relish the fact that you’ve lead a beautious life.
There’s not always tomorrow, but usually there is. So enjoy your life, but drink responsibly, don’t break the law, and put money aside for when you may need it.
:bewilderment, confusion, dizziness, fogginess and blurriness:
Randie doesn’t want to miss out on future events, so she’s opting to do them immediately, yet she’s doing so by planning ahead in her day-calendar-thingie??? Make room Rye, I am about to join you on that floor.
Pete… Yah, deadlines are just that for creativity.
Squid… No, not just yet.
mischug… Ever see Groundhog Day? There was no tomorrow, only the same day over and over and over again. Scary and funny. There, the opposite advice prevailed. Well, at least until Bill Murray “woke up to things.”
Chug… Randie might have trouble with that last point there… but nicely said.
stick… I want to like Groundhog Day…. but I don’t much care for the movie… but I like the sentiment. And, yah… Randie has decided to make the most of her life… and start taking notice of things… and yes, some planning. We’ll see how long that lasts.
EofO… I’m there… unless I put it off, of course.
stick… better yet, Randie should just go buy some herself… and pick up some jam while she’s at it. The expensive stuff.
It is depressing sometimes to ponder the fact that, even with generous statistics and major assumptions about my health, I have lived over 50% of my likely lifespan. So I try not to think about it too much. 😀
Grey… you mustn’t think too much on that. I don’t feel my age… in fact, most people are surprised when I tell them my years… I guess I don’t act my age… and I don’t intend to!

But there’s not always a tomorrow. No one has any guarantee of living out another minute.
And one day, for everyone, there isn’t a tomorrow.
The butterfly laughs,
My summer lasts forever
Only for today.

Yeah, the Haiku’s mine. It appeared in a short novella called “The Tokyo Saki Brawl”. Fewer than ten people have ever seen a copy of it.
