Pizza Time
I hadn’t any idea that I was going to write Tim gay… it’s one of those things that just popped up… “what if Tim turned out to be gay? Sure, why not?” Said I. It’s not far from AIL… it would always seem that growing up I would have a crush on someone and they would come out as gay. So I tossed the little story twist in. We never did get a CLEAR answer from Tim… maybe he’s bi?
BUT if you’ve read Scott Pilgrim…. it kinda makes sense.
Ah… the joys of folks that have almost nothing in common, gathered around a table… trying to think of something, anything, to talk about….
Easier with gamers… just ask them about their character – you will never need to say another word all evening…. 😛
The Auld Grump – for GMs the question is ‘what was the rottenest thing that you ever did to the party?…. (Magnesium plate armor….)
The best stories write themselves, usually.
Oh, and Brig – would be a lot easier to vote with a TWC link easy to find. ::prods:: On my home computer and my tablet I can bookmark it, but voting from work is a pain without one.
AG,
Mg is nice, but try a Na core.
@BB Nar – keep it simple, and give it some benefits… then get ’em. Strong, flexible, light… there are a lot of good things about magnesium. Until somebody throws a fireball….
Sodium… also does not really fit in a mediaeval(ish) setting. Sodium and potassium were considered the same thing until the early 19th century.
Then again… I also have fun with alchemists turning mercury into gold, and going mad as hatters in the process…. (Gold dissolves in mercury – boil off the mercury and the gold remains. Alchemy was based, in part, on a con game…. 😛 The ‘basest metal’ was not lead but mercury – which could not hold its own shape.)
How’d we get on this topic? 😛
The Auld Grump
Randie likes the song about killing spiders, and so do the Green Goblin and Doctor Octopus!
AG,
If the party notices the the sodium, you say “Yean, there’s some soft metal-like material forming a core… probably offers some sort of spell resistance.” Then after minor skirmishes have put a few nicks in the nice shiny armor direct the party into a light rain…
I seem to rember some British ships during the Falkland’s War had magnesium superstructures illustrating both the advantages and disadvantages youn refer to.
